Education

I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Florida International University. I am also an e-board member of Psychology Ambassadors for Student Success (PASS), the Pre-Graduate Student Association (PSA), and co-created a podcast geared towards disseminating information the graduate school process to Psychology undergraduates.

Employment

I have worked as a research assistant in the Mental Health Interventions and Technology (MINT) Program at Florida International University's Center for Children and Families. In this role, I assisted with studies on topics such as Selective Mutism, as well as conducted initial phone screens for parents, and aided in clerical duties such as updating the referral list. I work with the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) Miami to execute their social justice program entitled Narratives. In my position, I provide in-class aid to a Teaching Artist at several sites including an inpatient mental institution for adolescents and alternative school for adolescents who have had contact with the justice system. I also have experience in the non-profit sector, working with Arts for Learning as a Program Assistant, Site Coordinator, and eventually Site Manager over the years. I am a flexible and attentive individual with a keen eye for detail and the compassion to work with diverse, as well as sensitive, populations.
